   • Owned feature and modernization work across customer-facing and internal retail applications, with most day-to-day development in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, and TypeScript.
   • Took application changes from requirements and technical design through implementation, code review, release planning, and post-release support. Kept API contracts, rollout steps, and follow-up items documented for teams working across different functions and schedules.
   • Worked with product and platform teams to separate larger application flows into REST and GraphQL services with clearer boundaries, simpler deployment paths, and easier production ownership.
   • For frontend work, built and maintained React/TypeScript features tied to backend services, with attention to state management, error handling, loading behavior, accessibility, and compatibility with existing customer journeys.
   • From 2023 onward, added Python- and LangGraph-based LLM workflows to enterprise applications for workflow automation and assisted user experiences, connecting model output with application data and existing service APIs.
   • Used Kafka and Spring Batch for event-driven and scheduled processing where application work needed to move outside synchronous request flows.
   • Worked with Google Cloud and GKE environments alongside Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Coordinated deployment configuration, service dependencies, operational readiness, and release changes with platform and SRE teams.
   • A large part of the role was production engineering: tracing failures across services, reviewing logs and metrics, tuning caching and data access, fixing recurring issues, and staying involved through incident resolution and follow-up.
   • Reviewed pull requests and technical designs, helped engineers work through implementation tradeoffs, and coordinated changes that touched multiple application or platform teams.

   • Built Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs for Lowe's digital commerce and enterprise application workflows.
   • On the frontend, shipped React/TypeScript features and reusable components using Redux and Context API, integrating browser flows with backend services and shared platform capabilities.
   • Helped move application workloads toward Google Cloud/GKE using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform as Lowe's continued its broader e-commerce and platform modernization.
   • Worked through service integration issues involving API contracts, authentication, configuration, application errors, and dependent systems rather than treating frontend and backend problems separately.
   • Tuned PostgreSQL and MongoDB access patterns and investigated slow queries, inefficient service calls, and other production performance problems.
   • Added automated tests around service and UI changes and supported CI/CD pipelines, staged releases, production validation, and corrective changes when needed.
   • Worked with QA, product, platform, and support teams during delivery, keeping implementation details and release dependencies clear enough for other teams to continue work without constant meetings.

   • As legacy commerce areas were modernized beginning in 2018, helped move application code toward smaller service-oriented components and cleaner API integrations.
   • Added unit and integration tests, supported automated builds and releases, and handled production issues that crossed application, API, and database layers.
   • Debugged end-to-end problems by following requests from the browser through backend services and data stores, then worked with the appropriate application or platform owners to get fixes into production.
